The HS-973 is a sturdy 6" Damascus steel bull cutter with a thick, full tang blade built for heavy-duty ranch and field use. Each knife is individually hand forged from 288+ layers of Damascus steel, producing a blade with exceptional edge retention and a striking natural pattern. A reliable workhorse that also makes a stunning display piece.
Damascus is a mixture of 1095 and 15N20, heated and folded to a minimum of 288 layers. The blade is burned in acid, turning the layers into contrasting colors. Damascus needs to be oiled after use and stored away from the sheath.
