Damascus steel is made by combining 1095 and 15N20 high carbon steels. The metals are heated, folded, and forged repeatedly to create layered patterns, with a minimum of 288 layers in our blades. After forging, the blade is acid etched to reveal its unique pattern and color variations. The edge is then carefully sharpened for a razor-sharp finish. To maintain its quality, the blade should be oiled after use and stored in a dry place away from the sheath.
