Damascus Steel Back Lock Folding Knife — Stag Antler Handle

A folding knife earns its place in a pocket by being useful every single day. This one earns its place on a shelf by being worth looking at. The blade is hand-forged Damascus steel with a bold layered pattern that runs the full length of the blade. The handle is natural stag antler — rough-textured, warm-toned, and shaped to fill the hand. The back lock keeps the blade open and secure when you need it, and closed when you don't.

One knife. Two jobs. Does both well.

The Blade — Hand-Forged Damascus Steel

The Damascus on this folder starts as alternating layers of high-carbon and low-carbon steel, forge-welded at high heat and drawn out repeatedly until the layers are fused into a single billet. The pattern that emerges — bold, flowing, organic — is the result of the forging process itself, not surface treatment. Every blade carries a different arrangement of lines.

At 58–60 HRC, the edge holds through everyday cutting tasks and resharpens cleanly on a ceramic rod or whetstone. The drop point profile keeps the tip strong and the belly useful for slicing.

The Handle — Natural Stag Antler

Stag antler has been used for knife handles for centuries — not because it looks good, but because it works. The outer surface is naturally porous and textured, which means it grips in the hand even when wet. The color shifts from cream at the base to deep brown toward the crown, with natural variation that makes every handle different from the last.

The polished steel bolster sits at the pivot end, protecting the antler from splitting and giving the knife a clean visual transition between blade and handle.

The Sheath — Leather Belt Sheath

The brown leather belt sheath has a brass snap closure and a belt loop sized for standard carry. It holds the folded knife securely and protects the handle during daily carry. The leather will develop a patina with use.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: How does the back lock work?
The back lock is a spring-loaded bar that runs along the spine of the handle. When the blade is fully open, the bar snaps into a notch in the blade tang, locking it in place. Press the spine of the handle to release.

Q: Is the stag antler handle real?
Yes. Natural stag antler — not synthetic, not resin. Each handle is unique in color, texture, and grain.

Q: Can this knife be used for everyday tasks?
Yes. The drop point blade and back lock make this a practical folder for everyday cutting tasks — not just a display piece.

Q: Does Damascus steel rust?
Damascus contains high-carbon steel and can develop surface rust if left wet. Dry the blade after use and apply a light coat of oil to keep it in top condition.

Q: Does it come with the leather sheath?
Yes. Every knife ships with the brown leather belt sheath shown in the photos.
