Karambit Knives – Handmade Damascus Curved Blades
The karambit is one of the most distinctive shapes in knife making. Its deeply curved blade and finger ring came out of Southeast Asian farming culture, where the hooked edge was used for harvesting and rope work, and today it is prized as a collector and display piece.
This collection gathers handmade Damascus karambits with hand forged blades, natural handle materials and fitted leather sheaths.
Handmade Damascus Karambits
Each blade is forged from layered Damascus steel and finished by hand, so the pattern following the curve is unique to that piece. Blade length, ring size, handle material and sheath style vary by model, so check the individual product page for exact details.
What Defines a Karambit
- Curved blade: the hooked profile is the signature of the pattern
- Finger ring: a loop at the end of the handle for a secure hold
- Compact size: most karambits stay small and easy to display or store
- Detailed finishing: filework, pins and bolsters that show the handwork
Handle Materials
- Stag horn for natural texture and character
- Pakkawood for a stabilized, moisture-resistant grip
- Natural olive wood with warm, individual grain
- Micarta and resin for a harder-wearing modern look
- Bone and hardwood scales with brass pins
For Collectors and Display
Because of the shape and the handwork involved, karambits are usually bought as collector pieces. The curve shows off a Damascus pattern beautifully, which is why these sit well in a case or on a display stand alongside other handmade blades.
Care and Maintenance
Keep the blade clean and dry, and store it away from damp conditions. A light coat of blade oil protects the steel and keeps the pattern crisp, and the curve is easiest to wipe down with a soft cloth folded along the edge. Store bladed items securely and out of reach of children.

FAQs
What is a karambit knife?▾
It is a small curved blade with a finger ring at the end of the handle. The shape has agricultural roots in Southeast Asia and is now widely collected for its distinctive look and handwork.
What is the finger ring for?▾
It keeps the knife secure in the hand and stops it slipping while the curved edge does the work. It is also part of what makes the silhouette so recognizable.
Are these fixed blade or folding?▾
The collection includes both. Each product page lists whether the knife is a fixed blade or a folder, along with the blade length and locking details where they apply.
Is a sheath included?▾
Many karambits here come with a fitted leather sheath shaped to the curve, though it varies by model. The individual listing confirms exactly what is included.
Where do these knives ship from?▾
All orders ship from our warehouse in Texas, USA, processed within 1 to 2 business days and sent with tracking. We also ship internationally, where delivery times and customs charges depend on the destination country.
